Engadget Podcast 169 - 10.31.2009

Tired of all the DROID talk? Well, tough cookies, mister. Nilay, Paul and Josh have a lot to say on the subject, and you're just going to have to sit there and take it. Or you could skip the first 40 minutes of this week's podcast, but that's just a recipe for regret. If you do stick it out you'll be treated to some unusually candid discussion of Josh's facial hair and other more pertinent questions picked from the USTREAM discussion that will almost certainly frighten you straight.

WARNING: This podcast has been known to kill people. Engadget assumes no responsibility for injury or death.

[Thanks, JS and Rom for the image]

The Engadget Podcast, live...now!

It's that time again -- join Josh, Paul, and Nilay as they break down the week in news during the Live Engadget Podcast. We'll be starting at 6:30PM EST, but the chat room below is open, so settle on in!

Update: Annnnd -- that's it! As always, it was a rockin' good time -- thanks for hanging out, and we'll have the regular podcast post up tomorrow if you missed it.

Engadget Podcast 166 - 10.09.2009

With the crazy week of news we've had, never has the ever-insightful, industry-encompassing commentary of the Engadget Podcast been so necessary, so vital, so... vigorous. Sure, you could try to make your way through the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 and an onslaught of Android news all by yourself, but then you'd just be alone and sad. And who would be there to comfort and hold you and tell you how terribly overpriced the VAIO X is and how little Dell revealed about its new Adamo this week? Nobody, that's who. Don't be another statistic, slip on some relatively comfortable earbuds and come on over to the Podcast side.

The Engadget Podcast is live... now!

Hey, Josh is currently making a high-speed run across state lines, but have no fear -- once he's suitably safe from danger the Engadget Podcast will be broadcasting live. Settle into the chat room below, and we'll see you at 6:30PM EST!

Update: Well, that was certainly a wild one, thanks for bearing with us -- and if you missed it, our usual post will be up tomorrow!

A note about last week's Engadget Podcast

A lot of our faithful listeners have inquired as to the status of last week's podcast. We regret to inform everyone that we lost the audio just after we were done recording. To be more exact, the Mac Pro at AOL's studio which was recording our rare (and magical) in-person podcast decided to upchuck the boogie and destroy our precious tracks. What that means is we will be skipping that show (it is already the following week) -- though in the next few days we'll bring you the first-ever Engadget Show as well as a proper podcast. Sorry everyone, and thanks for understanding!

The Engadget Podcast live... now!

A super special Engadget podcast today, kids -- the gang's all together in NYC and we're coming at you live from our swank studio digs. It's been a pretty wild week of news, so settle into the chatroom below -- we'll be starting at 4:30PM EST!

Update: Well, that was a wild one -- thanks to all the commenters for hanging with us. Sadly we lost the recording due to a machine error, so we won't be able to share the chaos with you, but hey -- all the more reason to check out The Engadget Show, right?

The Engadget Podcast will be live... tomorrow

Hey everyone, just a quick note to say that the podcast will be slightly delayed this week -- not only are we swamped with news, but Nilay's traveling to NYC for The Engadget Show. Fear not, though -- we'll be live tomorrow at 4PM EST, and the regular podcast will go up on Saturday. See you then!

Engadget Podcast 162 - 09.04.2009
