Yes, another trivial yet oddly enthralling game-related update from Sony: the "Deep Red" PSP. The PSP-2000 DR is the official moniker in case your big box rep fails to see the obvious when these hit Japan on December 13. Hey, it happens.

Hard to tell how good it'd look in person, but changing the ring around the PSP logo on the back was a horrible choice. Should have kept it silver/metal...

I agree that the ring should have stayed silver, but damn I like that color. If I didn't already own a black PSP I'd be clamoring to get my hands on this one. I don't know why, but I find that shade of red to be very appealing.

maybe if sony took more time to release actual content for the system, instead of just new colours the psp would be doing well, a new colour doesnt make it any more/less fun

Have you ever seen the Crimson Red DS with Brain Age 2? I would like that color on the PSP, and how about making the shiny silver thing silver again? it's hideous when it's red.

Still think Big N needs to release a classic NES colored {NES patterned} DS like they did for the GBA {sadly it was right before they made the screen brighter on the GBA}.

I need a "Deep Blue" version to match my car and my PC.

From the pics shown, it doesnt look like it would be too hard to develop a replacement skin in whatever color you want.
