Have you been into an apple store lately? they actually have a section for games you douche. Apple can play games but not many developers code games for OS X. Which is starting to change dramatically.

So instead of failing grades he is now in the slammer? All thanks to Mom (who probably bought the console in the first place). Defines "dysfunctional family".
Uh - what prompted him to become a demon spawn in the first place?
Of Course - it was the video games he played and had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with how his parents raised him for it to get to the level that developed_
Pleez don'na be putting werds in mi mowth. Scooter's the one who said that the mom probably bought the kid the PS in the first place.
Some kids are shit-heads, regardless of how they were raised. It's been quite a while since I was a teenager, but I clearly remember perfectly respectable family friends whose military-school-fodder kids I wasn't allowed to hang out with. Many factors often contribute to the deliquency of a malcontent.
I make no assumptions about the kid's upbringing (though reading all three pages of the actual article does paint a clearer picture). I only applaud the gumption of this mother to take a stand against this nit-wit. She followed through on the punishment of her own flesh and blood, who had resorted sending her "I love you" letters from prison. Regardless of what got brought them to this point, the right choices are being made *now* and that deserves acknowledgment, if not praise.

Oh noes! All Engadget ever does is talk about Apple! Steve Jobs killed my puppy! Apple is the antichrist! Please, will it ever end?
Oh, thank god, an article that has nothing to do with Apple. Hmm, I think I'll find a tortured way to bring it up anyway!

Tell you what, Scooter. How about *you* take the little bastard under your wing for a couple years.
Are you seriously criticizing these parents for actually doing something about their demon-spawn?
