Pelican intros Controller Charging Station for PlayStation 3

Nyko's SIXAXIS charging dock may serve the same purpose as Pelican's forthcoming device, but we'll give the sexy award to the latter. The Controller Charging Station for PlayStation 3 boasts a very unique, if not admirable design that holds two SIXAXIS controllers above ground and juices 'em up through the exposed mini USB plugs. Additionally, the base of the unit is home to two full sized USB ports (shown after the jump), so there's always the option of charging up four PS3 controllers at once should you choose. The price? $29.99 when it lands in just a few weeks.

Very nice, it's a little expensive, but I'll definitely pick one up. It'll be nice to charge the controller without having my PC/PS3 on, plus, it seems like a nice way to store controllers not in use.

I think it's pretty well priced. I almost want one even though I don't have a PS3. Compared to Nyko's, which looks like a hacked up power strip, it's a better choice based simply on price.

The only reason I say it's a little expensive, but not like the other options, because at the end of the day it is just a little USB hub/extender. The design, however, makes it a worthwhile purchase in my opinion. It doesn't seem to be out, but I'm definitely be keeping an eye out for it, especially since my PS3 is about to get a lot more use soon...

Sure, it LOOKS good, but knowing pelican it'll weigh next to nothing, be easy to tip over, and be made entirely of cheap plastic, and break in about 6 months.

Too bad their build quality is so low. I really like some of their designs.

Glad they actually got a cool logo instead of the current one for the thing. Otherwise it would look like crap.

I mean sure it has 2 USB ports........but 2 controllers charging from those cords would take away from the look of the charger......
