Flat screens modded into art installation pinball machine
El rei de la casa, meaning "the king of the house" in Spanish, is a video game exhibition being shown in Barcelona, Spain. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the mainstream media's misrepresentation of the internet and all its evils©, and what better way to dispel these daily falsehoods than by putting together a pinball machine with a couple of LCDs mounted flat? There's even a "Prey of the Net!" level, where kids avoid losing control by aiming the virtual ball at a browser bar. Just make sure to hit the power-up surely contained in that blue E!

Actually, "El rei de la casa" literally means "the king of the house".

If you look in the picture, you can see they spell it "El rei de la casa", but anyhow... I would love one of those!

"el rei de la casa" is the correct form because is catalan, not spanish.

First slot machines become digital, now pinball machines. I expect to see toy crane machines to go digital next, with flat screens on all four sides.

Makes NO Sense. Why?, for that i will just use my laptop if i wanna play computer pinball. What a waste of $$$.
No if my girls can go digital that would be great, so i can keep changing different chics on the fly.

Actually, "El rei de la casa" is correct. But in Catalan, not Spanish. It means the same thing though. "La reina de la casa" means "the queen of the house" in both languages. However, from the Flickr set, "Presa de la red" is actually written in Spanish ("Prey of the net"), and all the sketches are also done in Spanish, so I'm guessing that "rei" is actually a typo, although a very weird one.
And Mauro Entrialgo is an awesome artist. His comic strips in El Jueves were great.

Or maybe it's just that the name is "cooler" in catalan :-) - eduard

This would be nice with a full color, full motion, high resolution holographic screen. Then you could simulate every pinball machine in existance. You could also make some crazy ones where the laws of physics dissapear.

I for one, welcome our new digital pinball machine overlords...
um...
What does this have to do with the iPhone?
Can it play doom?
Can it run Linux?
Can it blend?
-You cant lord over much as a digital pinball machine.
-nothing

What a sad exhibition of total misunderstanding of concept. Next up: stroke virtual cat wearing wired glove.
