The situation is definitely improving. I think more latent demand is being met and supply is being kept constant. It's possible to find a wii in stock online as long as you're willing to buy it as part of a bundle. More good news is that bundles have dropped from a high of nearly $600 to just over $400:
However it's still really hard to find wii stock online which is not part of a bundle. I'll believe the Wii availability situation has been resolved when Amazon can keep the wii in stock for more than a few minutes at a time. Based on this report that may not be until early 2008.
I just checked dabs.com, and English company and they have them instock not in a bundle for rrp. I think the UK is getting enough stock, but likely because demand has really dropped.

I just saw them at Costco. I don't know if the demand is as high anymore.
