Don't get too jealous everyone, the odds are pretty good that it will fail and he will have to send it in, only to receive the mundane black elite. Don't get me wrong the 360 is a pretty attractive looking piece of hardware, but the black elite doesn't look nearly as nice as the sexy piano black finish of the ps3. Although the custom 300 is pretty badass! I wonder if Frank Miller will sign and design a ps3?

Now that would be hot... congrats anyways man.

I dunno about that, I thoroughly enjoyed Resistance, just finished Ninja Gaiden Sigma yesterday (awesome game), Motorstorm is incredible, Oblivion which looks better on PS3, Sega Full Auto 2 is sweet, Rainbow Six Vegas, Calling All Cars, Flow, NBA 2K7, virtua tennis 3, etc just to name a few, and with Dirt (made to look better on PS3), Warhawk, Lair, Skate, Heavenly Sword in the next month and then Uncharted, COD4, Eye of Judgement, Home... I don't and won't have enough time to get through all these great titles!

Other than shitty EA ports, and games for that matter which are ladden with bugs, I see lots of great stuff in the works. And into next year we have little big planet which will be one of a kind and no one else will have that, metal gear solid 4, and grand theft auto 4...

There are tons of things going multiplatform, even Bioshock is supposedly heading for the PS3.

I can understand why the lower income families can;t afford one, but I can't understand why a presumably well off tech lover like yourself calls it a paperweright, you get a cutting edge graphics card which alone would cost 400-500 in a pc, a bluray player and a great one at that which costs 600-1300, a fantastic upconverting DVD player, media streaming, great backwards compatability,

I have both. They each have their strengths, I just don't particularly enjoy using a controller that was designed in 1990. Gran Turismo should be a decent game though.

Sorry Matt B, the GPU in the PS3 is very old tech (for when the PS3 was released). Its based off the G70 that was in the nVidia 7800GTX- a powerful chip, but not so much anymore. The 360 on the other hand does have a VERY advanced chip- its basically an early version of the R600 from ATI. That means unlike the G70, it has unified architecture, while the G70 doesn't. Think of this comparison, the new V8 engines coming out that have the option to run on 4 cylinders. Well, the G70 is running on 4 out of 8 cylinders (and the numbers Sony released were calculated as if it was running on all 8, making it a bloated result). The GPU in the 360 is like a V6, but since its unified, its running on all 6 cylinders all the time, while the G70 only runs on 4 all the time.

Oh, and Oblivion looks better on the 360 as far as colors go. The PS3 version is to washed out...

Someone always has to bring up the fact that the PS3 has little or no games... Like it's a permanent affliction!

There are people, right now, designing original (and potentially awesome) games for the PS3. I bought a PS3 last month because I wanted to be prepared for when my favorite video game developer (Naughty Dog) released their first game for the PS3. That, and I wanted to get the 60 gig model on the cheap. Bottom line, I think pretty soon we'll see more games for the PS3.

Also, I avoid buying a 360 because the cream of the crop seem to always come out for Windows PC's. BioShock is, just as Gears of War is. Patience is the key... And a good gaming rig.
