Wiimote knock-off offers disappointment in a blister pack

Wiimote knock-offs have been a bit slower coming than we expected but, as evidenced by the shot above, they are finally starting to make it out into the wild. This particular one, apparently spotted at a Wal-Mart, promises to mix something purporting to be "motion controls" with some sort of football game -- likely on the order of Mattel's LED-based games from the late seventies, we're guessing. No word on what it costs, but we wouldn't wait too long to pick one up if you're curious; there's no telling how long Nintendo will let this one fly.

I would love to get something like that for Christmas, joke gifts are always better than serious ones. unless its a huge gift, like jewelry for your wife or a car or something, I don't see the point of giving relatively inexpensive gifts to people when it comes to things that they can or would buy themselves. But a good gag gift can give you memories for years long after the rest of the mundane presents are forgotten. You can even surprise yourself, I once bought a soundtrack of a movie as a gag gift along with another CD which was the real gift, and the person wound up listening and enjoying the gag CD more than the real one.

And that, everyone is the TRUS meaning of Christmas. Funny CD's.

No, the true meaning of Christmas is for the Church to attempt to enforce religion on it's subjects by redefining a holiday that was already in practice to conform to their beliefs.

The trus meaning of Christmas, on the other hand, is funny CD's.

Also e and s are almost adjacent to each other on the keyboard, and i am a horrible typer (two finger method, yet I can still manage 80 WPM, as long as 15-20 of them are misspelled.

Assuming it does has motion sensing, I can imagine tons of complains about poked-out eyes because the LCD is so darn small. Cracked TV screens can't even compare to that.

OMG! I saw this at my walmart like a week ago lol i was thinking omg these ppl are idiots then whn i was going home i thought to myself, wow engadget will be all over this in a few days and... sure enough! they had football, baseball, racing(lol), and i think they had soccer too but im not sure the thing even has a trigger in the back bit its wayyy bigger and wider than the wiimote!
