Talismoon unveils second generation tiltBoard 360
It's honestly not too often that these homegrown DIY efforts actually end up going big, but just as it was predicted, the tiltBoard 360 is legit. Talismoon has officially released the second generation of the tilt sensitivity add-in for the Xbox 360 controller, which is supposedly "easier to use" than Sony's SIXAXIS. The board comes pre-loaded with tiltTune technology, which purportedly allows gamers to adjust the tilt sensitivity, tweak the 0-degree point, invert the Y-axis, and even deactivate the tilt feature if you should desire. Unfortunately, this iteration is still not a simple drop-in mod, as you'll be busting out the soldering iron for no fewer than seven wires. Still, for those not afraid to their hands dirty, the next-gen tiltBoard 360 will be shipping later this month.

Do any 360 games support this?
FordGTGuy @ Jun 9th 2007 9:50PM
Doesn't matter you can get any game to use it.

No games are being developed to support this. But there are instances in certain games were it will still work.
Having said which, they ought to just give up already and start selling premodded controllers instead of expecting the ordinary Joe in the street to suddenly become a soldering expert.

Soldering a few wires isn't exactly rocket science.

But it still take a little practice that little Joe might not want to go out and buy an iron for. Yes, you can get the iron for cheap, but does Joe really want to learn to solder if he can just buy the darn thing pre-modded?

It will work in any game that uses the analog stick for movement.

This works with any game as it removes the functionality of the left joystick and replaces those functions onto said tilt chip, whatever it is. All games will support it, its just when you have it in use, the left joystick won't do anything.

If I use this on the pc, will it show up as a seperate analog stick or does it replace one of the already existing ones? I would give almost anything for another analog stick with tilt.
Zeus the God @ Jun 10th 2007 2:55AM
It replaces the left analog stick, I believe.

This looks very interesting.
