Wii glove -- sweaty palms be gone
If you're having a Pete & Pete / Pitstain moment up in here with some overactive sweat glands causing balmy palms, resulting in cracked, broken, or otherwise no longer functional household items or consumer electronics, we've got something for you. The Wii skid proof glove may not be any different from your regular old classic Michael Jackson cutoff-finger glove, but it'll compliment your controller nicely, and more importantly, it proves our theory about Wii controller paranoia spawning a quick cottage industry of "peripherals."

Ive used GhostGrip when i play games (www.ghostgrip.com) and it works during my whole game play, better than a smelly glove of sweat if you ask me...but thats just me.

Nice Pete and Pete refference.
David @ Nov 24th 2006 6:58PM
If I had a wii I could do a DIY project, why not hot glue a magnet to the remote and sew or super glue another to an old glove thats laying around? Would a magnet mess anything up in the controller??
akijikan @ Nov 24th 2006 6:58PM
JUST ONE FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Alexis @ Nov 24th 2006 7:01PM
What happens if you are left handed???
John @ Nov 24th 2006 9:10PM
I would hate to see how Wii underwear would be advertised. Would it be skid proof too?
js @ Nov 24th 2006 7:26PM
I have a suggestion. Why doesn't Nintendo make the Wii controller rubberized in the first place?
Microdot @ Nov 25th 2006 1:35PM
what... and break into their profit margin an additional $4????
you must not know nintendo that well.
Hip_N @ Nov 24th 2006 7:28PM
GLOVE FTW!!!!! I actually need this. My hands get kinda sweaty when playing games for a period of time.
TheGuy @ Nov 24th 2006 7:26PM
You'd still have to swing your arm pretty freakin' hard to lose your grip without one. At least it beats the old controller problem with mario party and bloodly palms.
myninjaplease @ Nov 25th 2006 8:12AM
bloodly would be correct, hahaha....

..who gloves for a game console ?? wt..f?
its actually very easy for the wiimote to slip out of your hands...small children with their respecive hand grip is much looser and smaller therefore easier for the wiimote to slip off. Nintendo should have thought of that before implimenting a console that uses hard arm movements since the console is geared towards younger players. Also, grip will loosen after 2+ hours of gaming, tired maybe?
Sam @ Nov 24th 2006 8:00PM
Its not "Geared Torward" younger players at all. Its call the Wii for a reason, because its about togetherness. It's the system the whole family can play. I don't have a Wii as of yet, but I know it has an armband that is never shown in commercials. It can probably be tightened as such, so the risk of the Wiimote going through your new 60" plasma you got on black Friday is pretty slim
Halopend@gmail.com @ Nov 24th 2006 7:59PM
When will someone wise up and create a rubber backed battery case?
Banu Myneni @ Nov 24th 2006 9:04PM
This just seems sad, cant believe a company will exploit these occurences by making a glove that is probably sheer garbage!
midnightblade @ Nov 24th 2006 10:08PM
Would a golf glove work?
Brett Blaauw @ Nov 24th 2006 10:34PM
why not rubberize the remote?
hmmm, why not instead just buy one of the $8 remote sleeves that are made of silicone. I have 2 of them for my remotes and they work great. no slipage, no broken gadgets. and they're pretty ;)
Liraco @ Nov 24th 2006 10:42PM
Ah, Pete & Pete... man I feel old.
I wonder if these'll actually work. I'll stick to buying the controller "gloves", plus they help differentiate controllers faster.
Vince Tran @ Nov 24th 2006 11:11PM
hah, I bet you'll see professional gamers wear these Wii gloves now
nogekko @ Nov 24th 2006 11:34PM
i want some of those
Dao @ Nov 25th 2006 7:44PM
I bet they did this on purpose...
griffin518 @ Nov 25th 2006 1:45AM
Just buy a cheap golf glove... it'll be of higher quality, fit better, and be cheaper.
Nice P&P reference btw... anyway you could have worked Artie or Papercut into the comment? :P
Cobra2717 @ Nov 25th 2006 2:41AM
hopefully this prevents the worldwire breaking of $1000 LCD tv's everywhere lol
Matthew @ Nov 25th 2006 8:36AM
Maybe if I was a formerly black now white child molester I would buy this. I am not therefore I will not.
All these little companies that thrive of off people's fears... just like all these useless insurances for everything.

Does this, perchance, foretell the release of Moonwalker (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson%27s_Moonwalker) for the Wii Virtual Console? It was released for the Genesis, after all... ;)

Reginald @ Nov 25th 2006 11:59AM
Your hands do get a little sweaty after a while but the glove is a bit too much. Only if your name is TriForce can you actually get away with wearing a glove like this.
What would be a better design than the lanyard would be to have created a strap like the anit-statis straps used in electronics with the velcro wrist strap and springy cable.
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?pfp=SEARCH&Ntt=anti%2Dstatic+wrist+gard&N=0&Dx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&D=anti%2Dstatic+wrist+gard&Ntk=All&product_code=336208&Pn=Anti_Static_Wrist_Strap
Converting something like this to be used on the Wiimote would be a nice DIY mod and shouldn't be too hard.
Reginald @ Nov 25th 2006 12:03PM
Typo...I meant "anti-static wrist strap."
karaokequeen3 @ Nov 26th 2006 5:06AM
Heh. Alredy, I can see myself wearing it and screehing "SHAMONE, MOFO!". Hee and hee indeed.
Kanate @ Nov 25th 2006 3:38PM

cloud811 @ Nov 26th 2006 3:26PM
i dont mean to be hatefull but anybody who needs one of theses are morons. in otherwords anybody who can't keep a grip on thre controller.....simple, STOP SWINGING IT SO HARD!!! Some people dont understand you dont acculty need to atk or swing your baseball bat as hard as you can.....i dont feel bad for these people at all
andrew @ Nov 30th 2006 1:44AM
at first glance i thought this glove was ment so you dont get poop on your hands while whiping...wii mote looked like a roll of tiolet paper.
Tavis Veighey @ Nov 25th 2006 8:56PM
I have the best idea ever. Just get EGrips!
http://www.EGrips.com
They stick to anything, and give you a perfect gripping surface! I put them on everything! The TV Remote, Cell Phone, FlashDrive, Mice, Digital Camera, Everything!
Just get the "Universal All Purpose - 12 Pieces" and use the pices you want!
Mike @ Nov 25th 2006 8:50PM
Skid proof gloves? So you can take a dump on them and not worry?
TheGuy @ Sep 26th 2007 5:07AM
