I was the complete opposite of you. I brought a DS lite and sold it because i found the games to be incredibly short and having little replay value. If you get bored of the genre of games on the DS, theres not a lot more the console has to offer.
At least with the PSP, which Sony has touted as a multimedia device, There's always something else i can do as it offers a lot more and through firmware upgrades can continue to as well. In effect they have a myriad of options to choose from as to what to do with the PSP.
