because if you are buying a 600 dollar unit you would have enough money to buy the component cable at 15 dollars or hdmi cable at 30 dollars separate

what HDMI cables have YOU been seeing?
You can pay 30 bucks if you never plan on having your system more than a foot away from your television, but if you have an entertainment center or something, forget it.

However, if you really do know of $30 hdmi cables of considerable length, shaaaare.
