E3 is not donwsizing because it failed.

E3 is downsizing because the major publishers dont want to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on it any longer. It was mutually agreed that there was not a return that justified it.

So the idea that they are going to sign up to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on some other show is just wishful thinking.
